Cistercian Order of the Sacred Hearts (CSJM)

In silence, in prayer, in love — we live for God alone.

The Cistercian Order of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (CSJM) is a Catholic monastic community living under the Rule of Saint Benedict and wholly consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our mission is to adore, repair, and serve — offering our lives in prayer for the Church and for the world.

Who We Are

The Cistercian Order of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (CSJM) is a Catholic monastic and spiritual family rooted in the Rule of Saint Benedict and living in the Cistercian tradition, heir to the great medieval abbeys that shaped Christian civilization through prayer, work, and silence.

We are men and women consecrated to God — monks, nuns, priests, brothers, and lay associates — who have freely answered the call to live wholly for Him under the patronage and protection of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our Identity

  • Contemplatives, called to remain in silence and adoration before the Mystery of God.
  • Liturgical souls, nourished daily by the Holy Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharistic adoration.
  • Brothers and sisters in community, united by charity, humility, and obedience.
  • Servants and intercessors, praying for the world and offering spiritual guidance and hospitality.
  • Repairers, offering our lives in reparation for sin and for the peace of the Church.

Our Devotion: The Two Hearts

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is for us the source of mercy, love, and redemption.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary is our refuge, model of obedience, and motherly protection.

Under Their united Hearts, our entire life becomes an offering of love, prayer, sacrifice, and intercession.

Charism & Rule

Our entire life is shaped by three pillars:

  • Prayer and Adoration: Daily Holy Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, Eucharistic adoration, and intercession for the world.
  • Fraternal Life: A community founded on charity, obedience, humility, and mutual service.
  • Work in Simplicity: Following Saint Benedict's call to Ora et Labora, we unite prayer and work as one offering.
